6. Disclaimers
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WAYPOINT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that content is complete or current for your situation.
Spiritual teaching and discipleship materials on the Site are offered for edification and general information. They do not create a pastoral, counseling, attorney-client, or other professional relationship.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WAYPOINT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AFFILIATES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Waypoint and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party right.
9. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that exclusive venue for disputes arising from these Terms or the Site will be the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, except where prohibited by law. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms or this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Site.
11. Severability & entire agreement
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy and Cookie sections on this page, are the entire agreement between you and Waypoint regarding the Site and supersede prior understandings on that subject. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
02 / Privacy
Privacy policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Waypoint Discipleship Centers collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit waypointdisciples.com or contact us through the Site.
1. Information we collect
- Information you provide. Name, email, role, message content, and similar details you submit via forms or email. Contact form messages are emailed to our ministry inbox so we can respond.
- Automatic technical data. IP address, browser type, device/OS information, referring URL, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, and timestamps. Some of this may be collected through essential cookies or server logs.
- Analytics data (optional). If you consent, we use Vercel Analytics for aggregated, privacy-oriented usage metrics (for example page views). This is not used for cross-site advertising.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site
- Respond to inquiries and continue conversations you start
- Understand how the Site is used (with consent for optional analytics)
- Comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect people and property
- Communicate about ministry programs when you have asked us to
3. Legal bases (where required)
Where laws such as the GDPR/UK GDPR apply, we process personal data based on one or more of: your consent; performance of a request or steps prior to a relationship; our legitimate interests in operating a ministry website and responding to contacts (balanced against your rights); and legal obligations.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help host, secure, deliver, or analyze the Site (for example Vercel and related infrastructure), under obligations to protect data
- Professional advisors or authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety
- Successors in a ministry reorganization, merger, or asset transfer, subject to this Policy’s spirit
5. Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including responding to you, maintaining security logs for a reasonable period, meeting legal requirements, and resolving disputes. You may ask us to delete contact records subject to lawful exceptions.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you use the Site at your own risk.
7. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California and the EEA/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
California residents: we do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are commonly defined for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may still use our cookie controls for optional analytics.
9. International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you understand information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries that may have different data-protection rules than your country.
10. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals. There is no consistent industry standard for responding; we rely on the consent controls described in the Cookies section instead.
